Experience in Macintosh OS platform. Ability to turn around projects quickly and accurately. Organized approach to projects with sharp attention to detail. Photography experience and skills desirable. Manage all aspects of the magazine from concept through print production, periodic email newsletters, and website companion. Oversee freelance writers, serve as liaison between the freelancers, vendors, College, and design/production staff. Manage a team of editors on a variety of cross-platform projects for the Office of Marketing Communications and fulfill other writing and editorial duties as required. Qualifications: Bachelor&#8217;s degree in journalism, English or a related field; a minimum of five years editorial experience with at least three on a magazine; excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented. Knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style and word processing applications. Demonstrated project management abilities. Knowledge of print production, strong management skills, and works well under pressure. Proven track record of establishing priorities and meeting critical deadlines is required. Experience producing online version of a magazine, as well as experience at an institution of higher education preferred.
