Information Technologist
at Keene State College in New Hampshire, Keene
Office of Advancement Services at Keene State College is seeking a team focused, innovative, experienced Information Technologist. This position, reporting directly to the Director of Advancement Services, has primary responsibility for maximizing the functionality of the advancement information system, data mining, and the functioning of all related technology-based tools to support collaboration with campus-wide partners in achieving the Advancement division’s mission and goals. This is a term position currently funded thru June 30, 2012 with the possibility of continuance.
Essential Oversight Functions:
• Support Advancement Services department to develop and refine the advancement database infrastructure and functionality.
• Develop and produce complex reports and conduct data extraction as needed, including production of comprehensive documentation and back-up materials.
• Develop and maintain system audit reports in order to confirm accuracy of data and reports and identify potential problems with software and custom processes and reports.
• Carry out data mining projects in order to facilitate advancement work.
• Review advancement trends through the production and analysis of data reports.
• Responsible for ensuring that advancement specific software and hardware used by the division performs at an optimum level and fully supports staff in their work.
• Responsible for training and supporting end-users on advancement division technical systems.
• Research and implement new technologies related to advancement.
• Collaborate with ITG staff for planning proposal process regarding new software and systems.
• Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications Required: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in the information technology field, Associate’s degree and four years of experience in the information technology field, or combination of education and experience to equal six years. Experience with relational databases and reporting tools, Microsoft operating and software systems, familiarity with statistical analysis software, ability to work independently and determine priorities in a dynamic environment, proven oral and written communication skills. Preferred: Experience with Datatel information system and Datatel technical tools such as Envision, ELF, Query Builder, UniQuery, and SQL. Experience with reporting tools such as WebIntelligence, Crystal Reports, and dashboards. Three or more years experience in higher education and in a fundraising environment. Master’s degree preferred. Salary range: $44,270-$50,220, complemented by a generous benefit package.
