Web Developer

The Web Developer reflects and actively supports the University of Denver's vision, values, mission and goals as well as the strategic goals of University Communications. Reporting to the Director of Web Technology and working closely with a multidisciplinary web technology and creative team, the developer provides management, scripting, and web development support for various web projects throughout the campus. Applicant should have experience in developing web sites and applications following a standard software development life cycle. This individual works with developers and teams across the organization to determine and build optimal methods for delivering web functionality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of web development experience.
- Hands-on experience in content, development, support and/or administration
of web-based applications, such as web content management systems like
WordPress
- Experience with mobile development.
- Proficiency with HTML, DHTML, CSS and experience in scripting languages
such as JavaScript, PHP, Coldfusion, and SQL
- Excellent ability to interact with cross functional affiliated teams to
co-develop, iteratively test, and comment/document code in support of
project requirements and user interface designs.
- Ability to provide user technical service and support. Reflect and support
"excellence, innovation, integrity, engagement and inclusiveness" through
daily actions and decision.
- Provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients and
constituents. Must work well in a deadline driven environment handling
numerous projects at any given time.
- Must be comfortable and patient in communicating with various
constituents, non-technical and otherwise.
