Enterprise Systems Administrator

Missouri State University is accepting applications for an Enterprise Systems Administrator in Computer Services. Duties include being responsible for the University server computing systems, including installation, maintenance, upgrading of the hardware and software, and interfacing with users to determine support needs.
Associate’s degree or equivalent number of college credit hours towards a Bachelor’s degree is required. However, relevant experience beyond that required for the position can be substituted for the educational requirement. Additional requirements include one year experience as a systems administrator with a background and demonstrated expertise in hardware, documentation techniques and systems analysis; ability to follow technical instructions, both verbal and written; ability to solve system-related problems by using diagnostic techniques and protocols; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality in regard to information processed, stored, or accessed by the systems; ability to work as a team member. The 24-hour scope of the department requires this position to be available evenings, nights, and weekends to respond to calls regarding questions or problems with the University’s computing systems. General understanding of web design techniques; ability to automate system administration tasks using scripting tools; and a basic knowledge of relational database systems is preferred. Pay Grade: 35. Salary: $46,000-$57,000/annually.
