Web Coordinator

John Carroll University, a private, Jesuit university in Cleveland, Ohio, is currently accepting applications for the position of Web Coordinator.
The Web Coordinator will provide leadership for the day-to-day creation of compelling, marketing-driven web content for John Carroll University’s web presence (www.jcu.edu), including web pages, photography, video, and social media. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Services (Web) and working directly with the IMC team and the University community, the web coordinator will be responsible for assisting and supporting campus offices and departments with their respective websites using a web content management system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Across a wide range of projects in the department and around campus, package and produce copy and images (and leverage multimedia, social networking, and other tools) to reach target audiences.
• Support users who are managing websites using a web content management system.
• Compile information to feed the rotating stories and promotional spots on the homepage (jcu.edu) and key landing pages by engaging with (and using your knowledge of) the University community to showcase the institution in a positive light.
• Assist with creating content for various social media platforms.
• Create advertising banners and other web graphics.
• Work with the Director of Marketing Services (Web), the IT staff, and clients on campus to constantly improve the design, information architecture, quality, and accuracy of web content.
• Develop a solid web authoring model/process.
• Shoot and edit short-form videos and photography when needed.
This position requires two years of in job or job related experience in the following:
• Experience with web content management systems (WordPress).
• Experience with HTML and PHP.
• Experience with digital photography and Adobe Photoshop to create compelling graphics/advertising banners.
• Experience shooting and editing digital video.
• Experience with web marketing
