Web Content Developer

Lynchburg College seeks a full-time marketing communications writer/editor/CMS trainer responsible for developing compelling content for the college website, coordinating information from a variety of college departments, and providing training on the content management system. The successful candidate must forge connections and will help implement and maintain a systematic content review schedule for numerous departmental and office web pages. The Web Content Developer will work closely with others in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment and be well-versed in writing across a variety of media, particularly websites. Must have a minimum of three or more years’ experience. Demonstrated history of taking initiative and driving projects to completion and familiarity with search engine optimization techniques and web measurement tools essential. Bachelor’s degree required; work in a higher education setting a plus. Selected candidate must be able to successfully pass a background check.
