Job Function - Systems Professional
Grade - AIT 020
Duty Time – Full Time
The successful candidate will provide web application development and support for OIT’s Web Development Services group, working in collaboration with other groups within OIT. This position is responsible for all aspects of Web site development, including application coding, testing and deployment, maintenance and upkeep using a combination of coding and productivity tools. In addition, this position will provide training and support to members of the University who use the Roxen content management system.
Essential Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands on web development experience. In particular, the candidate must have a very strong background in programming tools such as XML, XSLT, HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
The successful candidate must also possess strong interpersonal, organizational and planning skills, demonstrate the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and have the ability to maintain positive working relationships with and provide service to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience using PHP, as well as in developing applications using database technologies Oracle and MySQL is highly desirable. Knowledge of RXML (Roxen) and PIKE is also desirable.
Preference will be given to candidates who can show their experience with and enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills and keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies.
This is a 2-Year Term Position
Salary Range: 36,400.00 - 85,000.00
