The Undergraduate Admissions Office seeks a Web Application Developer to design and develop dynamic Web applications, ensure the stability and security of existing applications, and contribute to ongoing improvements.
This job will be filled at the appropriate level, depending upon the successful candidate’s education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are: Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree with additional experience preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with SQL, semantic XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required. Experience with Web application development, excellent analytical skills, and solid interpersonal communication abilities are also required. The following are strongly preferred: ColdFusion; Java or other OOP language in a Web context; understanding of XML and Web services.
Successful candidate will be able to work independently, as well as in a team setting and according to established standards and methodologies. Candidate should also be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and work with users to assess and define project requirements.
Experience with Flash and ActionScript, multimedia development, or graphic design are desirable.
