Market Analyst & Strategist
at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in Philadelphia
Using knowledge and experience in research, data mining and manipulation, individual is responsible for collection, analysis and presentation of reports, business cases and actionable recommendations. This, coupled with responsibility for tracking, measurement and reporting on digital, CRM and traditional marketing efforts enables individual to develop predictive models and contact strategies that optimize the return on marketing investment and keep USP ahead of the competition.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-- Gathers, analyzes and interprets data and research (primary and secondary) to originate reports and thorough business case development for both marketing and other University programs.
-- Tracks, measures and provides timely reports on marketing campaign success.
-- Identifies and monitors competitive landscape, technology trends, socioeconomic conditions and other fluctuations in market that impact pursuit and achievement of goals, objectives and strategies.
-- Acts as lead for marketing team in database development, continuous improvement and data mining efforts.
-- Communicates actionable findings and strategic recommendations clearly and with confidence to all levels of the organization through both written and verbal presentations.
-- Manages all aspects of execution and analysis for survey efforts from initiation through design, question structure, sample selection, weighting, fielding and tabulation.
-- Oversees definition and implementation of campaign testing for direct and digital: traditional and new media, search engine optimization, PR impact and web analytics.
-- Develops predictive models from data, gather and prep to selection/transformation of variables and through evaluation, validation and maintenance.
-- Employs qualitative and quantitative techniques to evaluate existing and potential services and offerings; including on and off-line lifetime value analysis, segmentation, contact strategy review and cost per application measures.
-- Performs other job-related duties or responsibilities as assigned, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description.
Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in relevant field; including coursework in statistics, data analysis, research methods, 2 to 5 years related experience. Expertise with Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SPSS/SAS. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Exceptional analytic, data, organization and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and collaborating on a team, ability to meet tight deadlines.
Licenses/Certifications Required:
SPSS or SAS certification a plus
