Web Strategist

Position: Western State College of Colorado invites qualified applicants for the position of Web Strategist. The Web Strategist is responsible for implementing an institutional positioning plan encompassing all areas of College-wide electronic and new media communications, including managing writing and web content on the College’s official website at www.western.edu. Additional responsibilities include website branding, institutional positioning and marketing aspects of the Web; the development of analytical measurement tools to gauge utilization and success of the College’s website; and supporting, editing and enhancing website development to reach diverse constintuencies. This is a full-time, 12-month position.
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with qualifications. Benefits include an employee/employer shared contribution retirement plan, health, dental and life insurance.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; at least three years of progressive experience in marketing, branding, Web site management and content development; knowledge of content management systems and other Web management tools; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work across multiple electronic communication platforms; knowledge of Web copywriting techniques and Associated Press style.
