Network and Systems Administrator
at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA
Allegheny College invites applications for a Network and Systems Administrator position that is split between the Computer Science Department and the College’s Technical and Network Services group. The position is responsible for the development, implementation, and day-to-day administration of the Computer Science Department’s computing resources for teaching, learning, and research. The position also works closely with staff in Technical and Network Services on projects to maintain and enhance the College’s computer network and technology services.
The successful candidate will need good communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team, solve problems using advanced tools, and learn new technical skills as needed. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or comparable experience. Experience with Linux, OpenLDAP, and Linux-related systems administration tools is required. Experience with server virtualization is a plus.
