Web Content Coordinator/ Web Master
(part-time, approx. 20 hours per week)
Southern Vermont College in Bennington seeks a part time, in- house, creative and deadline-oriented Web Content Coordinator, to be responsible for maintaining and advancing the College’s web site with updated content, innovative graphic and multi-media components and working with outside technicians when needed. Will also coordinate monthly analytics to senior staff.
The preferred candidate will have a degree in web development, web design or a related field, with some internship or professional experience in web content management, design, development and maintenance of web sites. Some writing experience is helpful.
Candidate must have:
- firm grasp of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
- Familiarity with MySQL Database management
- An understanding of Online Content Management Systems (CMS) with experience in Neptune Content Management System preferred.
- Familiarity with Flash, AJAX, and SEO techniques.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong project management and organization skills with the ability to juggle multiple web-based projects.

Desired but not required:
- Experience in Dreamweaver, Moodle, and with working with API’s such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, and others.
