full time Web Content Manager

at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa.

The web content manager is a full-time, salaried, administrative position responsible for contributing to the editorial and technical management of the university’s website. The successful candidate will manage content on the university website and other electronic media (Facebook, Twitter etc), as well as serve as a help desk resource to the campus community. The web content manager must have excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills; strong project management and organizational skills; and a fluency in web communications conventions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing content for web publication; providing technical expertise in the university’s content management system to users across campus; creating, editing, reviewing and approving web pages; and managing social media efforts.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, public relations or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years experience in a professional communications setting. Experience working with a Web content management system and a background in social media preferred.
