Web Content Manager
at Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI
Siena Heights University is continuing to develop and enhance its web presence to better serve its constituents, communicate its brand identity and complement its marketing efforts. The Front-End Web Manager, who will be an integral team leader in accomplishing these goals and managing the web site, will work with the University community to oversee the organization, design, and functionality of the SHU web site. This position reports to the Director of Integrated University Marketing.
Duties:
• Will be accountable for all areas of the web site, including consulting with faculty, staff and students on development and ongoing maintenance of web pages, including digital media content; respond or forward emails sent to the Web Manager.
• Work to extend brand standards on web site.
• Manage and maintain site content through the content management system.
• Recommend site design changes applying current Internet standards and protocol; maximize website accessibility, usability and effectiveness.
• Research, develop, recommend and implement new web-based applications and technologies.
• Collaborate with Information Technology personnel.
• Monitor and analyze existing site traffic to plan improvements in usability, navigation and content.
• Develop and maintain keyword strategy and pay-per-click ad contents for University marketing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or similar program with a strong background in computers. Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in HTML, CSS and Adobe CS. Working familiarity with ASP.net, SQL, JavaScript and DHTML. Experience with content management systems, project management and working as part of a development team. Experience with or interest in social media/Web 2.0. Familiarity with search engine optimization and usability testing. Ability to work as a team member with a positive attitude. Willingness to learn new skills. Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines.
