The Digital Initiatives Office, responsible for integrated marketing at the University of Nevada, Reno, is looking for a web developer.

We are looking for someone who believes in web standards, is adamant about clean and semantic markup, is interested in continuous learning, understands the importance of putting the user first, and can build a solid website or application given the necessary tools. Must have professional experience using: CSS, HTML, JavaScript (JQuery is our preferred framework) ASP.NET and C# (or experience with other languages and frameworks with a willingness to learn) and SQL. There are flash needs occasionally so some knowledge of Actionscript 3.0 is advantageous.

Web developer should be comfortable contributing his/her thoughts and ideas from discovery to development. The web developer’s main role will be to support the web development needs with some occasional design work. The web developer will be involved in implementing and developing Ingeniux, our new content management system (CMS). The individual should be a self-starter, motivated and detail-oriented.

The web developer should be willing to explore emerging technologies and assist the team in identifying technologies and trends that can help our online marketing and recruiting efforts.
