Auxiliary and Business Services (A&BS) at the Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Lead Applications Programmer/Analyst. The job will report jointly to the Information Systems and Marketing departments and will be responsible for designing, building and implementing custom business applications, as well as serving as the specialized administrator for A&BS’s content management system, Paperthin’s Commonspot. Typically requires Bachelor’s degree plus four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess a good working knowledge of ColdFusion, HTML, Javascript and CSS. Proficiency in coding for all current Internet browsers, operating systems, and platforms a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; must have excellent organization and time management skills. Experience with content management systems highly desired. Java programming experience and/or knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Server a plus. Design skills helpful, but not required (Web page design will be provided by the A&BS Marketing Office).
