Assistant Director of Web Communication

The College of Wooster, an independent liberal arts college nationally recognized for its emphasis on mentored independent research, seeks an Assistant Director of Web Communication to provides support for the college’s Web-based communication and marketing efforts, with primary emphasis on student recruitment and alumni engagement. Manages, edits and updates portions of the site in Sitecore CMS. Develops new multimedia content, including video. With director, provides CMS training and user support. Manages and maintains blogging system. Works with director on web-based marketing and social media initiatives.
The successful candidate will have at least two years experience with Web site design and multimedia content development, a thorough understanding of Web standards and accessibility best practices, and demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/XHTML, CSS, iMovie or Final Cut, and graphic optimization and writing for the Web. He or she should possess strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, graphic/multimedia design or related field required.
