Web Programmer
at University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in Bradford, PA
The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford seeks a Web programmer. This is a full-time position that reports to the Web manager.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in a computer or programming-related discipline and knowledge and direct Web-related experience is required. Working knowledge of .NET application architecture, HTML, ASP, MS SQL, Visual Basic, JavaScript, CSS, XML, and XSLT programming languages, proficiency in graphics editing, and experience working with a content management system strongly preferred.
Duties: Serves as support position in developing and programming of applications to enrich, personalize and extend end users’ Web experience of Pitt-Bradford’s Web site. Works closely and regularly with university departments to evaluate and recommend new technologies and Web development tools to ensure the site is being used to its fullest potential with regards to student recruitment and retention. Has a hands-on role in technical support, training, standards compliance, and CMS administration and upgrades. Collaborates with and supports Web manager to achieve strategic goals.
