Lynchburg College is seeking a dynamic full-time director of the Office of Communications and Marketing, effective June 16. The successful candidate will have at least five years of progressive management experience, preferably in higher education. Experience overseeing publications, media relations, website content and development, marketing, and crisis management preferred for successful management of a full-service, eleven-person office. The director’s primary duties include strategic planning, budget development and maintenance, creating an integrated team environment, strengthening the College brand region-wide, promotion of office services to the College community, writing and copy editing for print and e-publications, and assisting with special event planning. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
