Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the nation’s oldest technological institute and a top-ranked private research university located in upstate New York, is seeking a Web Producer within its Strategic Communications and External Relations department.
The Web Producer will plan, produce, and manage School of Engineering, academic department and engineering research center web sites/pages and content management system (CMS), as directed. The incumbent will also maintain and update Institute Web site/page content; prepare and produce digital imagery and multimedia elements for Web publication; and assist with Web site planning, designing, wireframing, and component production. This role is also identified to consult and interface with School of Engineering Web content owners.
Rensselaer seeks a candidate with knowledge of Microsoft products and computer networks as well as proven planning, organizing and effective time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be essential along with the ability to anticipate and solve problems. The identified candidate will work independently, under pressure in a variety of technical situations and meet established goals and objectives
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Communications or Web Design. A minimum 3 years professional experience producing Web sites, digital content and HTML/CSS/Javascript page layouts is also critical.
