FROM THE POSTING:
Serving as web designer for the Office of Creative Services, provide technical consulting to support the marketing and branding of Clemson University through the use of the internet and other electronic communications. The goal of the position is to help Clemson fully utilize the power of technology to reach and influence key audiences and evolve from merely a Web presence to offering a truly interactive communications forum, using a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages are created.
PAY & WORK SCHEDULE:
FULL-TIME
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 06 ($ 37,945.00 - $ 70,204.00)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Extensive knowledge of web technologies including HTML with a general knowledge or better of other scripting languages (XHTML, XML, CSS, RSS, Javascript, PHP). Extensive experience with two or more publishing/imaging applications: HTML (DreamWeaver), Photo Editing (Adobe PhotoShop, Fireworks). Familiarity with page layout and presentation software helpful (Adobe InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote). Ability to operate in Macintosh environment.
COMPETENCY / SKILLS TEST:
All candidates chosen for an interview must submit an portfolio with samples of their work.
