The University of Nevada, Reno needs a tech-savvy, web-literate writer.
By “tech-savvy,” we mean that you actually enjoy (and somewhat understand) technology. By “web-literate,” we mean knowing what makes a website effective, not just how to Google a question. And by “writer,” we actually mean “writer.” We need someone who is gifted with words—someone who is able to write persuasively and concisely for a variety of audiences and media (although particularly the web).
The University of Nevada is a medium-sized school with a student body of approximately 18,000. Over the past 5 years, we have grown by about 50%, despite the tough economy that we’ve all experienced. The Reno/Sparks region contains approximately 400,000 people, small enough to feel like you’ll run into someone you know around town, big enough that there really are a lot of things to do. We’re located about 30-45 minutes from world-renowned Lake Tahoe, which delights visitors year round with crystal clear water and top-quality ski resorts.
