full time Web Specialist

Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Communications and working in conjunction with the Director of Website and Multimedia Production, the Web Specialist is responsible for the daily maintenance and improvement of the College\'s website (tesc.edu) and social media sites. The Web Specialist interfaces with offices throughout the College to assist the Director in implementing the institution\'s web strategy, enhance user experience, utilize emerging technology and improve content and communication.


Examples of Work

- Managing the daily maintenance of new and existing pages on the College website and landing pages
- Assist in the production and development of the College\'s electronic outreach vehicles, including e-newsletters and e-postcards
- Support development of College\'s online communications strategy
- Assist with the planning and execution of the College\'s web-based projects and redesign efforts
- Assist and help manage the College\'s use of social media and other web-based technologies to enhance student recruitment and enrollment management efforts
- Stay current with trends in website and landing page design, website usage and search engine optimization

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Must be innovative self-starters who are achievement-oriented communications professionals.
- Superior speaking, writing and interpersonal skills and who thrive in a team-based environment. C
- Must possess intermediate-to-advanced skills in website design, including proficiency in HTML and CSS and fluency in the latest digital content development and delivery applications, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with browser compatibility is preferred.

Requirements

Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor\'s degree supplemented by a Master\'s degree in a field related to the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority.

Experience: Three years professional experience as a faculty member in an institution of higher education or administrator in education, higher education or other field that is directly related to the functions of the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority.

Applicants who do no possess the required education may substitute required experience on a year-for-year basis (30 credit hours is considered one year of college).

A Ph.D. or an Ed.D. degree may be substituted for two years of the required experience.
