Student Branch Development Specialist

JOB POSTING: STUDENT BRANCH DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Desired Outcomes
This position is accountable for the vitality of local organizational units serving students and young professionals, with responsibility for 2,000+ student branches and 200+ affinity groups. Key goals in support of this outcome include:
Volunteer recruitment, training, recognition, and satisfaction in all functions that support local student and GOLD affinity group operations-
Student branch and affinity group expansion and rejuvenation-
Data integrity and supporting processes for student membership and young professionals-
Student member retention-
Essential Functions
Project managing the development of all communications, collateral, and web efforts in support of volunteer training and recognition-
Compiling, authoring, and disseminating operations reports and progress updates-
Identifying and project managing the resolution of data integrity issues vis-?-vis students and young professionals-
Developing operations & processes, project plans, financial analyses, and budgeting for programs and activities in support of student branch / affinity group vitality, and Volunteer development-
Serving as the principal Staff Liaison between student branch / affinity group Volunteers and other Staff operations within the MGA, and IEEE-
Counseling Volunteer Leaders to ensure adherence to all IEEE bylaws and procedures-
Requirements
Bachelor?s degree with knowledge of the higher education environment with experience in volunteer engagement, training, and motivation. Experience in a professional society and/or membership organization preferred. This position requires min. 4 years of project management and/or operations experience. Ability to organize, coordinate, and supervise volunteer activities and across the organization in a matrix-style reporting structure. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Suite and database applications.
