full time Assistant Director for Content Marketing

Heidelberg University is seeking to fill the role of Assistant Director for Content Marketing, within the Marketing and Communication Services office. The position will develop content that contributes to the effectiveness of Heidelberg's communications, specifically relating to recruitment. Candidates must possess advanced writing and copy editing skills; the ability to write in a variety of formats; and strong communication skills.

Principal activities include developing website content, including writing original content and updating and repurposing existing content; coordinate the University's social media presences; maintaining writing quality across the website; collaborating with marketing and communications, admission, academics and other departments across campus to create new and revise existing content; write copy in support of the University's marketing efforts and print publications and other duties as assigned.

Must possess an eagerness to work collaboratively, a proven positive work ethic, creativity, strong customer service skills and the ability to balance priorities and competing demands. Strong computer usage skills and familiarity with organizational social media are also required. Familiarity with HTML and experience with photography and/or videography are pluses.

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree, in a relevant field and a minimum of two years professional experience and/or training, preferably in a higher education setting.
