Director of Interactive Communications

SCAD seeks qualified applicants for a director of interactive communications. The person in this position is responsible for the smooth operation of SCAD's Web initiatives based in the communications department. These include scad.edu, microsites created for events, and social media marketing initiatives. A bachelor's degree in related field is required, and a master's degree is preferred. Qualified candidates will have relevant experience in interactive and new media with proven successful outcomes. Preferred candidates will have proven ability to manage and motivate a team of creative professionals. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, planning and executing projects to create and enrich SCAD's online presence. This may include the creation of new Web sites and mircosites and leadership of the social media function. Other duties include creating an annual interactive plan in conjunction with executive director of communications; ensuring directly or indirectly excellent, timely updates and improvements to the Web presence and content; and staying abreast of changes to the interactive landscape, and how those trends might affect SCAD.
