Under general supervision from a designated administrator, assist in the planning and coordination of public information/public relations activities.
• Research, write, proofread, and edit materials for print and electronic publications including feature articles, media releases, program descriptions and other types of marketing materials for the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences and its' 30 plus academic units.
• Work with college administration and academic units to launch, proactively review, and maintain websites.
• Draft letters and speeches for college administration.
• Create, maintain, and update media relations lists for distribution and solicitation, and maintain relationships between academic units and media outlets.
Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years experience; -OR- five (5) years experience. Experience must be in public relations or publications or related field. Experience may also require at least one (1) year supervision.
