Web Content Coordinator
at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA
Allegheny College, a selective national liberal arts college where 2,100 students with unusual combinations of interests, skills and talents excel, invites applications for the position of Web Content Coordinator in the Office of Public Affairs.
Allegheny is known as a leader in innovative online marketing and social media outreach programs. This full-time, administrative position will play a key role in those efforts, maintaining and updating the College's Web site while adhering to distinctive branding and style guidelines. The site consists of static pages as well as a growing number of sites in a content management system. The coordinator will be responsible for training and supporting content management system users across campus.
The coordinator also will be responsible for capturing video, audio, and photographs at college events and preparing that content for delivery on the College's Web site as well as social media services such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. In addition, other duties may be assigned to meet the evolving needs of the Office of Public Affairs.
Qualifications: A demonstrated understanding of and experience in marketing, best practices on the Web, social media community management, and Photoshop, HTML, CSS, and PHP are essential. Knowledge of and experience in deploying and maintaining WordPress installations also is vital. At least three years of web development experience, a bachelor's degree, and excellent communication skills are required.
