Web Interaction Designer

$42,425.00 - $47,749.00 per annum plus performance range
Reporting to the University Web Initiatives Officer, and under the direction of the Senior Designer, the Web Interaction Designer is responsible for the implementation and development of visual and interaction design for priority web sites at the university, and for the development and maintenance of a portfolio of strategic web sites. This position will work closely with the University Web Initiatives Officer, Information Architect, and Marketing department to maintain the university's brand integrity.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fine Arts, Design, or appropriate discipline, or have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience where knowledge of design methodologies, web interface design and usability theories was acquired. The candidate should have excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, as well as organizational abilities and resourcefulness.
