Web Assistant
at Defiance College in Ohio
Defiance College, located in the city of Defiance in Northwest Ohio, seeks a temporary, part-time web assistant to join its Office of Public Relations and Marketing. The individual will provide support to the Web Communications Coordinator in building and maintaining College websites and will contribute to a wide range of web projects and tasks. Responsibilities will include assisting with web content updates, monitoring accuracy, consistency, and proper functionality, and assisting with other web-related projects as needed.
To be successful in this position, candidates will need to have experience with Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop; knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript; and an understanding of web accessibility standards. The position requires experience in website management and design; an associate’s degree in communications, graphic arts, marketing, or another related field preferred. The individual must have excellent communication, organizational, writing and proofreading skills; the ability to multi-task, work independently and as a productive team member, and interact in a helpful, positive manner. Additional web knowledge and web developer skills a plus.
