$51,058.00 - $57,466.00 per annum plus performance range
Reporting to the University Web Initiatives Officer, the Web Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating UVic’s Web presence (www.uvic.ca and associated service pages) as one of UVic’s major communications vehicles. The position will liaise, consult and coordinate with those responsible for the Web sites of University units to promote efficiency, coherence, and maximum utility to the University and its audiences; develop web resources of value to the University as a whole; assist in decisions regarding direction of operational goals, editorial copy, photographic and graphic content and technical issues pertaining to the site, and in finding solutions that work for individual units while meeting the needs of the University.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and considerable related experience, or have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Essential qualifications include excellent organizational skills in project and time management, with an ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and deadlines; strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills; as well as exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiating, team building, and ability to interact and build consensus among a wide variety and range of partners.
