Calling all multi-talented Web Designers!

Are you looking for a rewarding job in web design where you get to
exercise your many different talents in graphic design, interface
design, accessibility & usability, standards-based xhtml/css, and client

Please note: this is NOT a programming position. A minimum of 3 years of
professional experience in web design is required.

Job description summary:

The Web Designer designs, builds and supports websites and web
applications for the University of Chicago. He or she works with our
internal programming staff as well as multiple constituencies throughout
the University to develop online resources for distributing information,
marketing the University, and providing numerous services to faculty,
students, and staff.

- 50% Define & design University websites and web applications
- 40% Develop & maintain University websites and web applications
- 10% Contribute to the evolution of web standards and procedures at the
University

This employee must have excellent design skills, and a good
understanding of information architecture and usability issues. He or
she must be a self-motivated, solid thinker with the ability to
prioritize multiple projects and independently follow-through with detail.

This position is on-site at the University of Chicago Hyde Park campus
in Chicago, IL.
