Our Web Strategy and User Experience team has an opening for a Web/Drupal Developer. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience with Drupal and Wordpress, familiarity with the Drupal/Wordpress API and module development, a solid background in PHP, and be comfortable with administration of LAMP servers. Experience with JIRA, Mercurial, Jenkins, and Varnish are a plus. Just like anywhere else in the University, you need to be comfortable handling several projects at once, willing to learn and master new skills, and act responsibly with FERPA data. Primary duties include user interface and content management coding for our Web team. This job will be filled as a level 2, level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate’s education and experience. Typically requires an Associate’s degree or higher plus two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher levels. Competencies critical to success are: proven ability to plan and meet deadlines; demonstrated successful experience in a team environment; and a commitment to life-long learning. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding. We seek candidates who are able to demonstrate experience and ability to advance Outreach’s diversity initiative.
