Coordinator of Online Services

Overview-
Responsible for managing and implementing electronic resources, communications, and solicitation activities for alumni and other constituent groups. Develop strategy for online presence for alumni and development; maintain website, as appropriate; and design and execute all electronic communications.
Reports to-
Director of Advancement Services
Essential Duties-
1. Design infrastructure and individual pages and maintain institutional Advancement and alumni web site.
2. Manage/administer online alumni community, implement new modules as appropriate; and design physical characteristics of online community.
3. Manage/administer all electronic communications, design/deliver electronic communications.
Marginal Duties-
1. Provide back-up/support to the Director of Advancement Services and support of development database and other electronic resources as required.
2. Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience Required-
Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's degree preferred. Three years or more in development or related function, preferably in an educational setting, and/or a combination of education and experience. Exceptional technology skills and knowledge of software applications common to advancement work and web site management.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong Photoshop skills required, including knowledge of web graphics, optimization and utilization. Strong HTML and web design skills, including working knowledge of Dreamweaver and CSS. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks as needed. Familiarity with online communities, discussion groups, broadcast email use/formatting. Familiarity with email newsletters and issues regarding CSS, SPAM regulations and delivery issues.
