Union University seeks an experienced advertising or marketing professional for the position Director of Promotional Strategies.

The Director of Promotional Strategies focuses on image advertising, program-specific advertising and a host of other promotional projects related to Union University events and programs.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of successful communications and marketing experience. Desired attributes include:

Extensive experience writing advertising copy for print, broadcast and new media.

Multiple examples of leadership in successful promotions including audience research; the preparation of marketing plans; and implementation and maintenance of strategy.

Willingness to serve a variety of clients with professionalism and to exhibit a team-oriented approach in the workplace.

Excellent and persuasive communication skills, both written and oral.

Excellent organizational skills and knowledge of office software programs.

Expertise in negotiating media buys, maintaining financial records and providing follow-up services such as message monitoring, record-keeping and invoicing.

Professional work habits and team-oriented attitude.

Ability to represent Union University to its constituencies in a professional and effective manner.

Proven skills in working with students and volunteers.

Successful candidates must be professing Christians who are active members of a local church, enthusiastically support Union University’s Identity, Mission and Core Values, and articulate a Christian worldview in their work and life.
