Web Administrator - Arts and Science (#20092892)

Position Summary: The Faculty of Arts and Science is seeking a talented Web Administrator who will administer, conceptualize, design and develop web sites for the division and its departments. S/he will establish and maintain graphic and content design and format the web sites following A&S specifications and guidelines. Manage the school's web content management system (CMS) and web server accounts and users. Establish priorities and independently resolve routine and non-routine technical matters. Consult with Information Technology Services when necessary; serve as advisor to Directors, Administrators, and Department Heads on related matters. Recommend and implement new technologies to meet service needs. Present needs of department to vendors.
Qualifications/Required Education: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Education: Degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field.
Required Experience: 2-3 years related experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with developing and maintaining a web site, access and security, and creating and modifying scripts.
Preferred Experience: Experience with operating systems in a higher education environment. Understanding of XSLT and experience working with google APIs a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent planning, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Thorough attention to detail. Ability to monitor and analyze web site problems. Fluent knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java, Java Script, Jquery, XML, Perl, Java and PHP. Ability to monitor, analyze and report on server performance and use. Knowledge of a variety of current and emerging technologies.
