If you are a .NET Web Developer, Sitecore Developer or .NET Developer with strong .NET web development experience and an interest in joining an organization developing dynamic web applications, please read on!

The Web Developer is responsible for the programming requirements for the College's Web site and extended Web presence (including third party social media and blogging platforms) by conceptualizing, developing, supporting, and maintaining current and future web applications that enhance the functionality and presentation of the college's public facing Web site. The current website is being redeveloped from static delivery method to a fully dynamic .NET environment.

Class Essential Duties:

1.Provides technical guidance during planning and development of new Web initiatives.

2.Develop effective Web and mobile Web applications.

3.Consulting independently with clients at all levels throughout the college to determine functional requirements for their departments' Web sections, and developing effective Web applications to meet those needs.

4.Working closely with the other members of the College to deliver solid applications and smooth launches; serve as Web team liaison with CCBC Information Technology Services.

5.Provide project outlines for all Web development tasks, and maintaining documentation for all Web development tasks.

6.Maintain and continually refine function of internal site search functionality; as needed, develop, test, implement new systems.

7.Adapting, configuring, enhancing, implementing and integrating third party applications as well as open-source and proprietary applications for use in the CCBC Web environment, including social media platforms, blogging applications, Chat/IM applications, etc.

8.Maintain and continually refine function of Web site analytics systems; as needed, develop, test, implement new systems.

9.Develop, implement and maintain rich media functionality including: Flash movies, applications (including action scripting) and video; audio; podcasts etc.

10.Maintain Content Management System. Act as Web team technical lead with CMS vendor and liaise with ITS for implementation, technical support, upgrades and enhancements, documentation and testing. The current Web site is being redeveloped from static delivery method to a fully dynamic .NET environment.

Requirements


•Bachelor's degree
•One year of experience developing website and web applications using ASP.NET
•Experience working with front end technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript
•Experience with web services and web integration technologies like REST, SOAP and XML
•Strong experience working with SQL Server and Oracle databases
•Experience with development for multi-channel marketing (esp. mobile and email) desirable
•Experience with Sitecore's Digital Marketing System (or similar) desirable
