Web Content Specialist

The Web Content Specialist reports to the Director of Public Relations, and is responsible for developing interactive media components in ways that creatively educate, inform, and motivate, and that enhance the visibility and perception of Bryant University. This position is an integral member of a high-performing team that assists in developing and implementing the University's strategic messages. This is a full time position, with excellent benefits.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or journalism; 3-5 years hands-on experience and solid understanding of web interaction design and content development, information architecture, multimedia production, and web content management with mastery of Web 2.0 environment and related rich-media technologies. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with a high degree of relevancy to targeted audiences; highly competent in writing, editing, and creative direction; and be a strategic thinker with ability to drive measurable results and manage multiple projects for several key constituencies in a complex environment. Knowledge of marketing trends and best practices, experience in interactive marketing, social networking and new media is mandatory. Requires an attention to detail in a fast paced environment, knowledge of college life, and proven experience as a news or public relations writer and editor.
Please supply at least three examples of web content that you developed (URLs or CDs are fine), along with executive summaries for each detailing their strategies and outcomes.
