TUFTS UNIVERSITY, located in the northern section of Metropolitan Boston, invites applications for the full-time position of Head Mens Tennis Coach. TUFTS UNIVERSITY is an active member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Division III), the Eastern College Athletic Conference, and the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).

Principal Duties: Plan, recruit, organize and coach the Mens Tennis Team. Additional assignments may include assistant coaching, teaching in our Physical Education and/or health and fitness program, and administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Programs.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelors degree
• Two (2) years of college Tennis coaching; strong leadership skills
• Demonstrated expertise in Tennis
• Demonstrated ability to effectively relate to student-athletes in a highly competitive academic environment
• Knowledge of NCAA and NESCAC rules and a willingness to abide by them
• Willingness and ability to actively recruit qualified student-athletes to Tuft
• Ability to communicate effectively and foster positive relations with fellow Athletics department staff members, student-athletes and other members of the Tufts Community
• Valid US drivers license

• Ability to travel is required

Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree and/or more than two (2) years of college Tennis coaching.

Special Work Schedule Requirements: Position requires evenings and weekends.
