Web Developer
at SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome in Utica, New York
Job Description:
SUNY Institute of Technology seeks a well qualified individual for the position of web developer to act as the college’s user interface expert and implement new interface and content concepts for the college’s web site. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, passion for technology, extensive development experience, and the ability to integrate quickly into the current environment and adapt to change. The web developer will also perform usability testing to ensure the site design meets the needs of all constituents, provide the primary technical support and training for the college’s CMS system and other related web applications and work as part of the team maintaining the back-end of the college’s web infrastructure.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with three years of related work experience developing user interfaces with web standards including XML, HTML5, AJAX, and CSS, required. Familiarity with interface design for mobile environments and understanding of ADA regulations related to web interfaces, preferred. Experience with OmniUpdate web content management system and Google Apps, PHP, MySQL, Windows/UNIX systems administration, and Apache, preferred.
