Beloit College is looking for a talented and energetic writer who is interested in joining a high performing and fast-moving communications and marketing team. The right candidate will be accustomed to writing on deadline (whether in a newsroom or PR shop), enthusiastic about storytelling, and an unabashed believer in the transformative power of higher education. Given that this position will serve in a quarter-time capacity as a sports information professional, an interest in athletic competition and a willingness to work occasional nights and weekends is required. Also a must: A well honed news sense, well worn AP Style Guide, and warm regard for – and experience working with – members of the print, radio, online and television media. Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 2-3 years collegiate or professional writing experience. Experience in public relations planning, marketing or web content development a plus.
