Web Developer
at New York University in New York
NYU is seeking a Web Developer to fill out our web team. The Web Developer will work in ITS and create web sites, apps, widgets, and systems for NYU.edu in collaboration with the web teams in ITS and in University Relations and Public Affairs.
Day CQ CMS experience is desired, but hiring a successful and proven intelligent, self-motivated developer is more important. NYU will provide Day CQ training to the person we hire.
The successful candidate should have many of the skills and experiences necessary to develop for and within our Day CQ CMS such as:
Object-Oriented Java programming and JSP
OSGi framework
jQuery library
Apache Sling framework
Ext JS framework
JCR (Java Content Repository) (e.g., Apache Jackrabbit)
JSTL (JavaServer Pages Standard Tag Language)
Outside our CMS, our web development is mostly in a LAMP environment. Other than Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP, other skills the successful candidate should have would include Perl, Oracle, and XML/RSS.
