Director of Admissions
at Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, IL
Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, Illinois, (http://www.lccs.edu) seeks applicants to direct and oversee the recruitment and admissions efforts of the College. This position will report to the Vice President of Student Development.
Responsibilities:
1. To plan and direct the recruitment strategy for the College.
a. To oversee all recruitment activities, programs, events and personnel
b. To oversee the availability and distribution of promotional materials for prospective students and families
c. To perform recruiting as a member of the team
d. To develop a strategic recruiting network among constituent churches and organizations
appropriately related to our mission
2. To plan and direct the admissions process for the College.
a. To work with families and other support systems for successful matriculation
b. To work with Student Services, Financial Aid, Registrar, Advising office and Academic Resource Center for successful matriculation of students who meet our admissions standards
3. To work with other key Admissions personnel
a. To select, train and coach admissions staff for the traditional college
b. To facilitate strategic collaboration with admissions staff in the Seminary and the third school
c. To collaborate appropriately with Faculty and Staff within the school
4. To manage the Recruitment and Admissions budget for the College
5. To perform other duties as directed by the Vice President of Student Development
Qualifications: The successful applicant will…
1. Have a completed Bachelor’s Degree
2. Be able to relate and to communicate well with high school students, their parents and ministers
3. Be able to plan and implement creative activities and events to build relationships with high school students
4. Be able to organize a variety of tasks with overlapping and competing deadlines over long intervals
5. Be able to monitor and manage budget spending effectively
6. Be able to work independently with resourcefulness and initiative
7. Be able to work proficiently with word processors, the internet, social networking programs and email
8. Have experience coaching a team toward the successful accomplishment of institutional goals
9. Have experience designing strategic systems for the successful accomplishment of institutional goals
10. Have experience defining and reaching departmental objectives in light of a larger institutional mission
