Admissions Counselor
at Beloit College (Anywhere)
Beloit College invites applications for a full-time admissions counselor position to join a dynamic staff dedicated to enrolling a diverse and talented student body. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent communications skills, be articulate, enthusiastic and have the ability to meet people and establish rapport quickly. A commitment to liberal arts education, intercultural learning and willingness to participate in a systems approach to student recruitment are necessary. A sense of humor is required.
Responsibilities include territory management, interviewing prospective students, public speaking, application review and evaluation, and other admissions-related activities. Program areas of responsibility are wide-ranging but may include supporting the first year financial aid program, athletic recruitment, or event management for major visit day programs.
Bachelor's degree required. Recent college graduates with admissions-related experience as an undergraduate will be considered. Commitment to the liberal arts and learning in a multicultural environment, proven communications skills, computer and quantitative literacy, high energy/enthusiasm/motivation, attention to detail and willingness to learn are expected as is a valid driver’s license. Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends seasonally.
