Strategic Marketing Director
American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for the position of Strategic Marketing Director. AUS is a comprehensive, non-profit, coeducational university accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, (Philadelphia, PA), licensed in the State of Delaware and by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The undergraduate engineering and computer science majors are accredited by ABET, and the Bachelor of Architecture is accredited by NAAB. AUS enrolls approximately 5,500 students from more than 80 nationalities served by 350 full-time faculty and nearly 500 staff. See www.aus.edu for additional information.
The successful applicant will function as the main resource for studying, developing, and exploiting opportunities available for the university in the national, regional and international markets. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs, he/she will also propose strategies to further develop and increase the university’s market share through awareness/promotion campaigns, niche marketing programs, and industry outreach.
Minimum qualifications include a university degree in a related field and equivalent professional qualification, proven experience of a minimum of 12 years in a related industry, with the last few in senior positions, possess the requisite professional knowledge and technical marketing skills (including knowledge of relevant software applications) as well as industry knowledge and trends, excellent command of written and spoken Arabic and English is required. International and higher education experiences are strongly recommended.
