Senior Interactive Media Designer

SCAD seeks qualified candidates for the position of senior interactive media designer to lead the creation of unique, interesting and brand-driven visuals for university Web sites. Responsibilities include working closely with the creative department and interactive designers to oversee the production of scad.edu and university microsites; researching and developing new interactive features and experiences; and reviewing new and existing Web content for adherence to university graphic and brand standards. Successful candidates will have experience in interaction and functional design; leading design production; working in cross-disciplinary teams; and managing multiple, changing priorities.
Candidates for this position should be able to provide strong art direction, initiate and develop Web 2.0 concepts, create comps and mockups, and see projects through from initial concept to the delivery of the final product.
The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in Web 2.0 design and technologies, Adobe Creative Suite 4, Flash, ActionScript, XHTML/CSS and a minimum of five years of design management experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Undergraduate degree in fine arts or related field required; graduate degree preferred.
