MARKETING WEB DEVELOPER

Reporting to the Manager of Integrated Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Web Developer is responsible for planning, building and maintaining Internet properties and implementing new media strategies as outlined in the Integrated Marketing Communications Plan. The duties and responsibilities will require the incumbent to develop the university web sites, and micro-sites, paying particular attention to recruitment and program sites. The Marketing Web Developer will also be expected to implement and monitor social media strategies such as blog contests, university blogs including micro-blogs (e.g. twitter), new outlets (e.g. dig.com), and social networking sites (e.g. facebook). The ability to create/manage web content is essential, such as researching/sourcing content, interviewing subjects, writing text, shooting/editing videos and photos, creating interactive web tools.
Expertise in Internet standards and practices, internet-related tools such as web-browsers, email servers, application servers, database servers, and operating systems is required. Experience working in static and dynamic web content and in Sharepoint 2007 and 2010 and building webparts using C sharp is required.
The starting hourly wage for this position is $22.57. A comprehensive group benefits and pension plan is offered, as well as a tuition subsidy for eligible dependents.
