Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for leading and developing functional and innovative web communications; and for creating and maintaining applications that support and further the College’s external web presence, electronic communications, and strategic marketing/communications initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science or related field), with excellent written and verbal communications and organizational skills. Thorough grasp of web-site management processes and tools, with 5-7 years direct experience working on a complex web-site. Experience with current web coding practices and tools, editing and publishing software including non-WYSIWYG editors, FTP, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite products (Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash) or equivalent programs and tools. Expertise in search engine optimization practices. Experience in new media web development languages, including: CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, mySQL, HTML, XML/XSLT. Familiarity working with a broad range of social media sites. Higher education experience a plus.
