Associate Director for Enterprise Application Development

The department of Enterprise Application Services within Ithaca College’s office of Information Technology Services (ITS) invites applications for a new full-time Associate Director for Enterprise Application Development to provide leadership and oversight for enterprise-wide ERP, Web, BI and Mobile application development.
Working with the Director of Enterprise Application Services, the EAS Application Architects and other areas within Information Technology Services, this position will establish long-term strategies for providing integrated applications across the enterprise application solution set and delivery methods (Web, ERP, BI, Mobile) and coordinate application development efforts in the various vertical areas (Web, ERP, BI) to ensure a consistent experience for the end user and the best use of the available technologies and delivery strategies.
The associate director will establish user experience / user interface standards for all enterprise application services applications, review and provide final approval for all EAS application development projects before they move into production and coordinate application "go-live". This position will also be responsible for resolving developer resource conflicts, managing consultant and other application development outsource relationships, and coordinating application troubleshooting and incident response efforts. The individual will serve as a key member of the department's leadership team.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a technical or related field with eight or more years direct experience in enterprise (ERP, WEB, and/or BI) application development work, with five of those years in an engineer or architect role; strong user experience and user interface design skills, as demonstrated by portfolio; proven ability to think strategically and work with organizations to envision solutions and successfully implement them; supervisory experience; strong leadership, interpersonal written and verbal communication skills; experience managing complex development projects; ability to work as part of a team are required. Work experience in higher education and familiarity with WEB, ERP, and BI application support and development in a mid to large sized organization is desired.
