The University of Iowa Foundation (UIF), seeks a Web Designer to assist in the maintenance of the UIF’s web presence (internal and external) and build out new electronic content.
This position will report to the Web Content Manager and be responsible for projects ranging from everyday site updates to building sub-sites. Will be responsible for leading project goals and architectures, assisting designers with the user interface, working with editors on web-friendly content, and implementing accessible, compatible, user-centric web pages.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field. Two years of experience working in a web communications environment preferred.
Preferred skills: Above-average understanding of: HTML; Cascading Style Sheets (CSS); and Adobe Dreamweaver Average understanding of: W3C compliance; browser compatibility standards; Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign; and JavaScript Basic understanding of: Microsoft SharePoint; XML; Adobe Flash; and Mac and PC platforms
